Sheet Metal Removal

Now I have spoken with many people about the best way to remove sheet metal but my favorite method is an air chisel. A good air chisel will cut through 1/16" sheet meat like butter!  I also have a Plasma cutter and a SawsAll and the air chisel beats them both hands down.

Using the air chisel simply cut off the rear trunk.  You will not be using ANY of it because of the way the kit is made.  Just follow the glue seams and the trunk will come right off.

On the passenger's and drivers sides you will cut the out side potion of the sheet metal.  You can see here the seat belt portion of the side is still in place you can reinforce it and use it as your original seat belt location

Since keeping this stock location for the seat belt I have decided to remove it because the original car has the mounting locations at the top of the center consol.  (basically reversed)
don't be afraid of removing all of the sheet metal from the car besides the fire walls, and rear trunk and floor pan.  You will not be using them. It will take you longer trying to figure out what to take off than if you just removed it.  Folks there is not much left of the car after you are done prepping it.
