Front Chassis

There's not a lot of steel involved in the front.  However, you do need to connect the front sub-frame, frame rails to the top of the "firewall".  You also have to create a front bumper support and brackets for the front bumper.  Also, you will need to tie in the door hinge support after the body is mounted.

This is what the front should look like, after removing all the steel and body panels from the original car.

I installed the front bumper support after cutting the original frame rail.  8" back from the front.  The new steel simply slides into the holes and is welded in place.

This is the front diagonal supports.  They are welded to the front cross member, shown in the previous picture.
This is the front cross member that connects the front roll cage, side rails and front diagonal supports.  Basically, this is our new dash.

I used the existing brackets that originally connected to the front frame rail and fabricated a new mounting bracket for the condenser. The location is nearly that of the original.  I did not have to bend or replace the original AC lines.  It's very sturdy and neat.
